Pure Leaf showcases its new Tea House Collection in Chicago this weekend as its Traveling Tea House pops into Lincoln Park Zoo.

Grab a spot of organic black or green tea from Pure Leaf’s new Tea House Collection, a super-premium line of the finest organic tea leaves brewed with fruits and herbs that are deliciously refreshing.
Food & Drink International visited the Pure Leaf Traveling Tea House in Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo on Thursday where the company debuted its new line of teas. Tea House Collection’s unique flavors include: Organic Black Tea with a hint of Sicilian Lemon & Honeysuckle; Organic Black Tea with a hint of Wild Blackberry & Sage; and – my personal favorite – Organic Green Tea with a hint of Fuji Apple & Ginger.
During the event, Tea Master Alex White described each of the three teas in the collection and shared which ingredients were used to achieve that flavor. Wild Blackberry & Sage uses Argentinian black tea as its base while Sicilian Lemon & Honeysuckle uses organic Kenyan black tea. Fuji Apple & Ginger uses organic Argentinian green tea as its base. Organic herbs, spices and fruits are then added to the tea bases.
Chef Lee Wolen of Boka hosted the event by showing attendees how to incorporate Pure Leaf Tea House Collection into a healthy smoothie. Wolen blended up what an Apple Ginger Tea Smoothie with Blueberries and Kale.
